David Andrew Crawford was born in Fredricton, New Brunswick, Canada in 1969, the only son of Lewis and Martha Crawford. When he was three, he and his two older sisters, Michele and Stacy were moved to Ottawa , Ontario and when he was eight the whole family finally moved to Wendover, Ontario where he spent most of his childhood.
David began writing Dark Solus An Assassin’s Tale, the first book in the Dark Saga series, in 2010 and released it to the public in Feruary 7, 2011 in hardcover format and later in the year on November 24 he also released a soft cover book. His first novel in the series has won 3 awards each one in the fantasy genre and all were contests that were held in the United States. In February 2012 he won second place in the Written Art Awards and in August 2012 he won Bronze at the Readers Favorite Awards and the latest award was a second place finish at the Beverly Hills Book Awards on April 15, 2013.
